Overview
PrepBoss documentation
Use these docs as a prep sequence: load the manuscript, review the generated analysis, add the production decisions only a human can make, and share the workspace when someone else needs to answer questions or add notes.
What is generated, and what you add
PrepBoss creates a structured first pass from the manuscript. Use that as the review layer, then add corrections, interpretation, and collaboration notes where they improve the recording script.
Generated by PrepBoss
- Detected dialogue with initial speaker attribution.
- Scene context and delivery cues where the manuscript supports them.
- Character records with aliases, demographic clues, voice descriptions, and words-spoken counts.
- Vocabulary candidates with definitions, language hints, transcriptions, respellings, and source metadata.
Added by you
- Speaker corrections, missed dialogue, and custom scene questions.
- Character notes, voice samples, and decisions about recurring voices.
- Selected pronunciation options, custom vocabulary notes, and your own audio samples.
- Bookmarks, reviewer notes, and collaboration access.
Recommended order
The fastest path is not to perfect every table first. Review the script, then build reference material, then clear unresolved decisions.
Review the script first
Start with dialogue and scene context before spending time on detailed voice choices.
Build reference material
Use characters, vocabulary, source options, and voice samples as your recording reference.
Track decisions
Use bookmarks and sharing roles to collect questions without losing their manuscript context.
